What's the Visual Studio .Net Applications course about?
The aim of the programme is to help you to develop an understanding of Windows and Web applications using current .NET computer languages.
You will learn how to apply software .NET tools to a range of problems associated with Windows and Web applications.
The course initially looks at the application of Object-Oriented techniques to VB .NET and the writing of C#.NET language constructs, syntax and classes.
You will also cover the management of the Common Language Runtime (CLR) to integrate C#.NET with VB.NET.
Further topics include the integration of .NET and SQL Database server and the use of persistent datasets in conjunction with standardised XML format. The course will be centred in real world oriented applications using .NET.
The course will be delivered through lectures, demonstrations and handouts and has an emphasis on skills training based on current industry standards.
How long is the Visual Studio .Net Applications course and when will it be taught?
This is a 30 hour programme which can be studied in the evening for three hours per week over 10 weeks. In addition there is a requirement for delegates to engage in supported self study for approximately 15 hours (one to two hours per week).
