A: You can find details of all our courses on the website. Go to the ‘course search’ box on the homepage, and type in a subject or keyword, e.g. ‘art’.

Click on the relevant search tab to see courses suited to you; school leaver, apprenticeship, adult, university and degree or employer. You can also click the ‘all courses’ tab to see courses at all levels.

A: If you’re a home student applying for a course lasting one year or more, you will need to apply before 31st May for entry in September.

Don’t worry – if you haven’t applied by this date you may still be able to get on a course, subject to availability. Come along to one of our sites during our main enrolment period to find out what we have available and enrol directly. Enrolment can be very busy, so find out what you will need to bring with you to speed things up.

A: Yes. First, check that you haven’t used characters such as brackets and hyphens as they can cause problems. If you’re still having problems you can call the Course Enquiry Team on 0800 068 8585.

If you’re applying for a full-time university and degree level course, you’ll need to apply through the UCAS website. You won’t be able to apply direct through The Manchester College website.

A: Yes. Call the Course Enquiry Team on 0800 068 8585 for advice. You may not need to submit another application form.

A: If you’re a home student applying for a 16-18, full time or university and degree level course, we’ll contact you with a specific date to come in and enrol.

If you’re interested in a part-time course, you can enrol at one of the sessions we hold throughout the summer.

A: It depends on your course and can sometimes depend on your circumstances. Read about the different ways you can pay for your course.

A: If you receive an income-based benefit (formerly known as a means-tested benefit) at the time you enrol, you could be eligible for help with your tuition fees. However, some courses are non-funded, meaning that you would need to pay fees even if you receive benefits. Please speak to one of the Guidance team when you enrol. They will be happy to advise you.

A: If you’re applying for a full-time course, your tutor will be able to tell you when you come for your assessment or interview. If you’re applying for a part-time course they can chat to you about it at enrolment.

A: Ask your employer to write a letter confirming which course they want you to take and the price. Bring this with you to enrolment. The college will then invoice your employer directly.

Some courses are non-funded meaning that you will need to make payment before the course starts even if your employer has offered to pay your fees. Please speak to one of the Guidance team who will be happy to advise you.

A: Yes, but bear in mind that it isn’t always possible to study two courses at the same time due to:

  • funding restrictions
  • timetable clashes

A: Yes, there’s no problem with this. Just come along at the time given in your enrolment letter and we can advise you on the right course to match your results.

A: Don’t worry, you will still have a place at the college and you may still be able to enrol on your chosen course. Just come along to college at the time on your enrolment letter and we can help you then.
